'Arike', as the name indicates,is so close to life. A story written from the surroundings. After the movie Mayamohni, this is really a different character from Dileep. But the main credit for this film goes to the wrier-Director SyamaPrasad. He did a gret job, both as a writer and director. Hats off sir.
About the Story: Shanthunu(Dileep) is a simple and decent gentleman. Kalpana(Samvrita) is his lover. They love each other madly. Anuradha(Mamta) is Kalpana's best friend. For Anuradha, Kalpana and Shanthunu are the last lovers of the world. She thinks the world lost the mind to love. She saw only a sexual interest in all the eyes watching her. And she is suffering by her some experience in past. Arike is the story of these three. It shows what happened to each nd where their life reaches as the time runs.
About The Movie:
As I told above, we can see the talent of Syamaprasad in this movie. Well written and nicely executed dialogues and scenes. he movie flows very naturally without ani signs of artificiality. Each and every dialogues is from the ones we hard around us and the ones we told somewhere in our own life. That makes Arike beautiful.
Performance:
Dileep did justie to his role as Shanthunu. Good performance by him. Samvrita also was good as usual. But Mamta was excellent as Anuradha. Great performance from her. The character I liked most is, the character Guruji (Madambu Kunjukutan). His screen presence is just for 5 or 6 minutes. But each and every dialogue he delivered was perfect.Again a special mention to Syamaprasad for the dialogues. Rest all actors did well except Chitra Iyer. That role can be given to someone else.
Songs were not so great. But surely good to hear.
Rating:3/5
