Ayaalum Njanum Thammil

I have expectations on every Lal Jose movie and after most films, he make me expect more next time. The same in the case of ANT. Also the reviews came were standing with my expectations. And my expectations kept safe after watching the movie. LJ sir, you are great.
A nice movie with a good plot and beautiful visuals.

Plot:

Roy Tharakan is a doctor. He was an energetic but lazy to study MBBS student. He was just enjoying the life with friends, his lover and don't have any commitments to his studies or the profession ahead. Later as a part of the bond signed in the college, he wants to do 2 years service in a villge hospital and he choose Redemption hospital, Idukki. There he met Dr. Samuel and Roy start working under Samuel. The movie says how Dr.Samuel, redemption Hospital and Roy's life there, make changes in him and how he become a good doctor.

About The Movie:

A nice worth to watch movie. The way of narration, mixing present and past simultaneously, was something fresh to see and was done neatly by the writer duo, Bobby-Sanjay and Director, LJ. The plot is little bit serious. But there is some funny college moments, love and a lot of emotional scenes. In the emotional scenes, we can see the talent of the director. Usually, such scenes give audience time to scream, to laugh etc. But here, such scenes make them sit quiet(Some exceptions were there).

Lal Jose did a great job as the director. Well crafted and his talent make the movie a nice feel good one.

I felt, the writers duo, Bobby-Sanjay was very much comfort in writing this script completely related to the medical field, which is one of thems' actual profession. Nicely scripted.

Coming to the performance, Prithvi is at his best. Excellent perfo from the young actor after a long gap. Prathap Pothan as Dr. Samuel was another amazing perfo. Pothan was simply superb as Samuel. All others, Narien, Samvrita, Remya, Kalabhavan Mani, Salim Kumar, Sukumari, Rima Kallingal etc. had not much role to perform. They wre just the characters passing through Roy's life. Yet, all performed their part well.

Another important one to be noted is Jomon T Jhon, DOP... Amazing camera work by him. The beauty of Idukki, the mist, greenary, everything is nicely picked by his camera. Every Lal Jose movie will have good visuals and when grouped with Jomon, it is at the top.

Music section by Ouseppachan was good and nice to hear. Azhalinte aazhangalil is my pick from the album. The visuals increased the beauty of the songs.

Positives:

Prithviraj

Prathap Pothan

Direction

Script

Visuals

Songs. Especially, Azhalinte aazhangalil

Negatives:

Nothing felt much and if something is there, I don't want to consider that for a good movie like this.

Rating:4/5

NB: A request to Prithvi. You have talents in you. Don't waste your time and talent for movies like Hero, Simhasanam etc. Select movies like Indian Rupee, ANT etc.. You can prove yourself and we all will love you. You can become an action superstar after that.
